Why does my Google Analytics show different traffic numbers than Samhub?

Every digital system works differently but the main difference is that Samhub focuses on analysing the customers and not the website statistics

Google Analytics is focused on showing the statistics such as page views, sessions and unique users. Samhub is focused on analysing the visitors and build an audience map over which type of visitors you have and who buys from you so that you can identify which to target to get more like them.

Why are the numbers different?

Reason number one

The scripts work differently, load at different speeds, collects different data and so on.

Reason number two

The selections are different, Samhub focus is on the market you operate in and it disregards all the traffic from other markets. Samhub compares your traffic with the whole population, we compare your customers with the population and we compare your marketing with the whole population. So that you can compare your marketing with your customers and ensure that you get the right type of traffic from your marketing.

Reason number three

You have configured the scripts that collect the data differently. You might have put the Samhub script inside the Google Tag Manager and this causes Googles script to load faster than Samhubs. You might have put different triggers on the scripts and by this limiting how they each collect data and thereby having different statistics. You might have external services like Cookie Consent Banners that affect the scripts differently.

But what is important is...

Google Analytics is designed to do one thing and Samhub is designed to do something else. GA is focused on performance and validating Googles services. Samhub is designed to add the quality dimension to your marketing analytics.
